I think you’re a little bit confused about what makes a fuel a “fossil fuel” … oil and coal are “fossil fuels” because they are the remains of dead plants and animals from millions of years ago. Once you dig it all up, you can’t just wait a little while for more to show up.
Wind, sun, rivers, waves, and geothermal are considered renewable because they are generated constantly, and can be harvested, rather than depleted.
P.S. USA grid is only ~50% coal (and dropping)

@SteveXnycperformance this car gets 240-270 miles off a $6 electrical charge that means an equivalent fossil fuel vehicle would have to get 120+ miles to the gallon; and that’s with the current government subsidized fuel prices. There are no such cars available or on the drawing boards that use a conventional or hybrid power plant capable of this. Its not zero point energy but its a start and certainly a hell of allot better that moaning like a bitch and doing nothing
