Tesla Roadster is a an electric sports car manufactured by the auto makers Tesla. And this is the first car produced by Tesla. Tesla Roadster can be used for driving a distance of almost 393 km after recharging the battery to the fullest. And it takes just under 4 seconds for accelerating from 0-60 mph. The production of these cars started in the year 2008 and it is being continued even now.

Tesla roadster was assembled in the Lotus Cars’ factory and they got help from them in the designing process as well. The components and other things were provided by Tesla itself. The share of Lotus cars in the Tesla Roadster is only less than 10 % and it includes parts like the airbags, dashboard fittings etc. And the rest of the parts are purely from Tesla itself. The reservation of the Tesla Roadster of 2008 model started much earlier like in 2006 or so. And they did get a lot of orders from people all over the world. That might be because of the reason that it is really gonna be one of the best electric cars in the world. Not just that, the Technology used in Tesla Roadster are much better than that used in the first electric car called as EV1 which was manufactured by GM.

The price of the 2008 model from Tesla Roadster is around 98,000 USD. And the good news is that, there is gonna be another model from Tesla it would be the model for the year 2009. But Tesla are having plans to release just 1500 cars for the year 2009 and the price would be around 109,000 USD.
